
About CODRIN GAVRA
Codrin Gavra is a lawyer, with over 25 years of extensive experience in Criminal Law and Criminal Procedure, acquired through senior roles within the judiciary as well as through legal practice as an attorney.
Prior to joining the Bar, he held key leadership positions within the Romanian Public Prosecutor’s Office, including the role of Deputy Chief Prosecutor of the National Anti-Corruption Directorate (DNA). In this capacity, he played a central role in the nationwide coordination of prosecutorial activity, overseeing the legality of prosecutorial decisions, procedural compliance, efficiency of criminal investigations, and the preparation of strategic institutional performance assessments.
Throughout his career, Codrin Gavra has handled and supervised highly complex criminal cases, particularly in the areas of corruption offenses, economic and financial crime, and serious violent crimes, combining substantial experience in both investigation and trial phases.
In parallel, he has served as a trainer at the National Institute of Magistracy since 2008, delivering initial and continuous professional training programs in criminal law, criminal procedure, and anti-corruption matters, thereby contributing to the professional development of judges and prosecutors.
As an attorney, he provides legal advice, assistance, and representation in complex criminal proceedings, leveraging an in-depth understanding of prosecutorial practice and institutional decision-making processes. His expertise is particularly valuable in sensitive cases involving significant legal and reputational exposure.
